E-Commerce or Electronic Commerce can be interpreted as buying and selling transactions for goods and/or services carried out using electronic networks. The government has made E-Commerce data collection one of the National Priority programs for 2024. As a follow-up, the Head of the Bantul Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Dedi Cahyono, is directly involved in field supervision of the 2024 E-Commerce Survey.

The E-Commerce Survey aims to provide basic indicators related to E-Commerce, namely the number of businesses, types of goods and services sold, transaction value, payment methods, and delivery methods that refer to international standard concepts and other indicators.
